Technical Architect – Infrastructure
Able to work on low to medium complexity tasks
Focus on specific technology areas (storage, backup, virtualization, network, tools, collaboration, etc) and that area’s integration with the broader solution
Works as a team member on specific activities
Ability to work independently on areas of focus
Within a project or account, the Technical Architect (TA) develops and documents the solution for a specific Line of Service (LoS) or service provided. This design embodies the client requirements, and the design covers the Conceptual architecture through to the Physical configuration. The TA will, either using standard components and services or by selecting components that best meet the requirements where such standards do not exist, develop the design solution that best meets the requirements in a cost effective and supportable manner.
The Technical Architect is responsible for:
Design Models (Conceptual, Logical and Physical Technology Models)
Capture or confirmation of client requirements
Definition of the technology solution and creation of a Bill of Material to assist procurement
Communication with the client and the team in regards to requirements and solution direction
Regular status reports to Solution Architect or Project Manager
Technical Architect – Infrastructure
Responsible for low to medium complexity solutions in area of expertise
Contributes to broader solutions
Works on multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

Provide guidance or support to others
Solution Architect
Responsible for medium to high complexity solutions in area of expertise
Major contributor or leader for solution development
Familiar with all the domains (Process, Organization, Location and Data, Applications, and Technology )
In addition to the TA capabilities and responsibilities, the Solution Architect (SA) is responsible for ensuring that component design elements meet the requirements and provide an integrated solution to the client requirements. The solution will encompass technology, services, security and systems management, and can also include process, organization and location architecture. The SA must understand the service model, and that all key players are involved in the delivery of the project to implement the solution.
The SA is responsible for:
Definition of the overall technology solution and recommendation of components for procurement
Ensuring solutions are evaluated against all 6 Domains of Change
Conducting project / account design reviews
Reviewing and approving project design deliverables
Contributing to definition of “technical authority” and associated standards
Contributing the development of the Client Technical Strategy
Contributing to the Technology Strategy
Defining client / project technology strategy
Tracking and disseminating information about technology developments in the marketplace to the team and client
Significant interaction with client business and technical management, and with account teams
Supervising and mentoring Technical Architects on the account / project team
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree , Computer Science/Information Technology, Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Science & Technology or equivalent.
At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Supervisor / 2 Yrs & Up Experienced Employees specializing in IT/Computer – Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent.
