Receiving Payment from Xoom in Under 30 Minutes

I badly needed to have my PayPal money in my hands in under two days, and unfortunately, Paypal takes at least 2 days and even up to 4 days when you’re transferring your money to your bank account. So this time, I tried sending the money through Xoom, which is notable for its speed in delivering the money to your hands through their Cash Pickup option.

Although I did have to spend a few dollars ($10.99) to be precise, it was worth it for the speed and convenience that it offered (I can get it any time, from M. Lhuillier Pawnshops which are open 24/7). Xoom is reliable in sending money, but you do have to make sure that the money you are drawing your accounts from is valid. For example, you can’t send money through Xoom from an UNVERIFIED Paypal account. Or if you are having issues with PayPal, then Xoom wouldn’t work.

Is Xoom a scam? I’ve read a lot of articles that Xoom is a SCAM. But I’ve also read a lot of articles that PayPal is a SCAM. Why, every legitimate business seems to have such articles written for them by a few unsatisfied customers. My experience with them is that they are legitimate, as long as you follow and understand their terms and conditions and you know why some transactions are not valid and will fail, then you will be fine. You can feel secure that they will get the money in your hands and these companies will not SCAM you.

PayPal or Xoom? Personally if I had all the time in the world, I would choose PayPal’s Bank Transfer (which only costs P50 here in the Philippines). The great thing about selecting the PayPal Bank Transfer option when withdrawing money is that it’s free if you’re sending over 6,999 pesos. P50 (about $1) for sending a smaller amount is not so bad either. But speedwise, Xoom takes less than 30 minutes, so it’s the better choice if you’re in a rush to get your money.
