RESPONSIBILITIES:
Opportunity for HR Consultant Professional with NCR Corp – Cebu City, Philippines.
POSITION SUMMARY
The successful candidate will join the Human Resources Team of NCR which forms part of the larger Asia Pacific Human Resources Group. The Asia Pacific team includes HR specialists in Compensation and Benefits, Staffing and Learning as well as HR generalists located in 12 countries in the Asia Pacific Region. Each Business Unit at the Asia Pacific level has a dedicated HR partner who plays a strategic role in the HR direction of the business unit. The team works closely with the global HR network.
This role will provide HR generalist support and consultancy, deploying HR programs, providing advice, counsel and support in the resolution of employee relations issues.
The position will be supported by the HR Director SPA/SEA.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
• Provide HR generalist support and consultancy to the various Business Units in NCR Singapore
• Support deployment of global HR programs, including performance management, salary/bonus/benefit plan implementation, headcount planning/reporting, RIF’s (Reduction in force), retention, career development, employee and labour relations, etc
• Sponsoring awareness and resolution of employee issues
• May contribute as HR Specialist or on projects or practice networks as necessary
• Maintain awareness of legislative trends and requirements and support changes
• Compile and analyse HR information
• Administer terms and conditions of employment
• Facilitates and administers the Performance Management Programme
• Supports, provides counsel and participates in performance counselling of employees as required
• Provide HR input and consulting on organization design initiatives that address changes in the business environment.
• Develop and/or drive organizational retention initiatives.
• Act as champion of change in the organization, sponsoring change initiatives in support of organizational evolution.
• Interface with employees and managers to resolve key compensation and benefits issues
• Provide internal benchmarking to help managers better make decisions of local salary issues that align with organization and company strategies
• Provide day-to-day coaching and counselling to managers and employees regarding skills development, career development, and learning.
• Partner with line managers to develop succession plans for an organization
• Maintain an ongoing communication plan with managers and employees, which facilitates goal clarity and motivates employees.
• Manage the reduction-in-force (redundancy) activities to minimise organisation risk.
• Manage employee relation issues such as harassment, discrimination, or theft, in a manner that mitigates company risk and leads to successful resolution. Partners with NCR legal counsel as appropriate.
• Ensure business compliance with all statutory requirements relating to industrial relations.
INTERRELATIONSHIPS
This is a team role and will require the successful candidate to liaise and coordinate with:
• Immediate SEA HR Team
• Wider HR Asia Pacific team including specialists and Business Unit HR
• Global HR network
• Line Managers both within and outside the Philippines and NCR employees at all levels
• Outside suppliers such as outside legal counsel
• External HR and Employer Advisory Associations
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
The candidate is required to have the following skills and experience:
• Degree qualified with ideally 5+ years work experience ( with a minimum of 3 years experience as a HR Generalist)
• Must have a strong understanding of contemporary HR practices and issues
• Exposure/Experience in IR – specifically in negotiation with unions and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements – preferred
• IT Industry experience an advantage
• Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• End user expertise with and MS office (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Power Point, Outlook e-mail)
• Excellent numeracy skills is required
PREFERRED EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
• A tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Relations discipline is essential

REQUIREMENTS:
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree in any field.
At least 10 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Assistant Manager / Senior Manager experienced employees. specializing in Human Resources or equivalent. Job role in General HR or equivalent.
