Accounting Specialist for a Multinational Industrial Company

Job description
Performs a variety of complex accounting activities, which includes the following:
Records, classifies and summarizes general ledger transactions requiring knowledge of accounting policies, procedures, and systems within the accounting department.
Makes collection calls on customer invoices when they are due. Follow the collection process established by the company.
Maintain general ledger in Baan, posts and verifies balance, debit and credit entries; reconciles monthly detailed aging to the general ledger balance. Reconcile bank statements monthly to the G/L and process monthly payroll checks. Prepares trial balance and financial statement on a monthly basis.
Applies applicable tax laws on sales and purchased items. Files monthly sales tax returns. Works with external auditor relating to sales tax and year end audits.
Maintains records through filing, retrieval, retention, storage, compilation, up keep and purging archived records.
Responds to customer and vendor inquiries. Checks accounting transactions to locate and resolve discrepancies. Provides accounting information to other department such as sales and service.
Uses various software applications such as Excel, Access, Database and word to format data and reports.

Requirements:
Female, up to 30 years of age
Must be a graduate of bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Must have at least two years of experience in General Accounting
Must be knowledgeable in basic guidelines of local taxes and regulations
Must have excellent communication skills
Must have the ability to work independently and exercise good decision making skills
Must be willing to work in Quezon City
