Working from Home | The Business Perspective

I like earning big, but I like passive income better. To me, passive income (also known as residual income) is the best form of income. This is the reason I let go of my first job, I let go of my college education which could have landed me a safe secure job, and why I worked basically for free for a year setting up my own business instead of earning big working for another company. I learned not to work for money, at least not in the short term, and I looked to making money work for me.

Wealth is measured in terms of how long you can survive even if you stop working, and if you have the right amount of passive income then you could basically survive for a long time. Passive income simply means that you earn money even if you’re not doing anything. It can be in the form of business, investment, or your very own blog. Yes, a blog. Throughout the course of this book I will teach you how to build your own blog, how to promote it, and how to earn money from it.

The business perspective. I studied business by listening to successful businessmen and women. I learned from millionaires, billionaires, and big time fortune 500 consultants. But no, I didn’t even meet them. I read their books, I read their stories, I listened to their public seminars. Napoleon Hill, Robert Kiyosaki, Brian Tracy, Anthony Robbins, there’s so many I studied and although they all explained things from different perspectives, I found that all their teachings converged. You could say I was a seminar and audiobook junkie, having their lessons played over and over again every day even as I worked and even as I played internet games. And yes, I’m just an ordinary young man who’s also

I will be sharing with you some of the concepts I learned and applied but i won’t be going into much details. Some of these may not be as easy to grasp at first and may be opposite of what you believed. For example, you may believe that you need to have a safe secure job earning 10,000 with social security and health benefits rather than a 28,000 work-from-home job with risk and no security but I would tell you otherwise. The more job security you seek, the less financial freedom you will have in the future. The more risk you take, the more gains you will. The key is to manage the risk, to minimize the loss.

My work-from-home story. I began working from home at the age of 20 as a Search Engine Optimization Specialist working for a client in Phoenix, Arizona. I’m an undergraduate–I stopped college during my fourth year since it was hard to manage both college and work. I had to choose between one or the other, and I chose my work. This is not to say that I encourage other people to stop their job as well or stop their work to work from home, I wouldn’t recommend doing so especially if you’re new to working from home.

During that time, I got paid roughly around 28,000 a month and I earned an additional 5,000 or so from other part-time jobs that were also done from the comfort of my home. You could see why I left school–an average graduate’s job will pay you 8,000-10,000 a month for a start and it would probably increase–in a couple of years. Even if I lost my 28,000 a month job, I already knew where to find the 8,000-10,000 working at home part time.

I would not consider myself as a “guru”. There are many other people younger than me who earn much more from the internet. Yet, more probably than not, they wouldn’t be writing a free ebook or sharing their own secrets. Instead, I’m writing this book while my success is still not that big yet, that way it can be more possible to reach for people who are just getting started. I won’t promise you $1000 every day, but I can teach you how to make your first $100. The first few dollars that you receive will be your biggest step towards succeeding in working from home.

At the age of 22, I turned my work into a business and managed my first company. More importantly, I met more clients from outside the country and I increased my capability to market for more clients. I knew that I could meet more clients as long as I had a computer and an internet connection.

During all these times, I would spend from 30 minutes to a couple of hours each day working on my blog and looking to earn monthly passive income. I hold free seminars and workshops on SEO and how to earn money online and I get feedback that one week after listening to my seminar, they were able to earn half of their salary working for a local company. A few quit their jobs when they got the hang of it.

Why I’m giving away the work from home ebook for free. I believe that in the road to success you can bring others up with you. I also learned that by teaching others, you will begin to master whatever it is that you are teaching. If you do feel like giving me your thanks, send me a few bucks on my PayPal address lee_vhoi_ol@yahoo.com or buy me a cup of coffee some time.

How can I get the eBook? The free 50 page Guide to Working from Home eBook will be available by December 31, 2009.  I will place the download link here on this website so look forward to it.
